Daehan Electric Wire Conducts Fair Trade Voluntary Compliance Practice Campaign

[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] Daehan Electric Wire announced on the 24th that it will conduct a campaign pledging to practice fair trade compliance. This campaign is part of the 'Fair Trade Compliance Program' and was prepared to reaffirm the commitment to establishing a transparent and fair trade order and fostering a culture of compliance.

Due to the COVID-19 Level 4 social distancing measures, the campaign will be conducted in a non-face-to-face manner using SNS without a separate event. The pledge includes ▲compliance with fair trade-related laws and regulations ▲creation of a fair competition environment ▲efforts to prevent violations of fair trade in advance ▲enhancement of ethical awareness and participation in eradicating unfair practices such as building mutual trust and cooperative relationships. Employees, including those at global subsidiaries and branches, will participate, and the scope will gradually expand to include partner companies.

In addition, Daehan Electric Wire plans to institutionalize the prevention and early detection of legal violations through regular training for all employees and continuous monitoring by establishing an internal surveillance system.

The 'Fair Trade Compliance Program' is an internal compliance system established and operated by companies themselves to comply with fair trade-related laws and regulations. On the 9th, Daehan Electric Wire declared the introduction of this program to realize public value for society and promote sustainable growth through the establishment of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management.

Furthermore, in May, Daehan Electric Wire became the first in the wire industry to establish an ESG Committee under the Board of Directors and is accelerating ESG management by publishing an ESG report reflecting last year's performance.

A Daehan Electric Wire official said, "This will be an opportunity for all employees to reaffirm their determination to establish a fair trade order and to foster a spirit of compliance," adding, "We will continue to fulfill our responsibilities and roles as a global company through various activities."
