Jeonju City, Discovering and Supporting Outstanding Communities

[Jeonju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hanho] Jeonju City announced on the 19th that it plans to select outstanding communities that have contributed to solving local problems or revitalizing living culture and provide various support.

Jeonju City intends to select based on criteria established through the Outstanding Community TF team meeting held last month, including social value realization, inter-community linkage, profit generation, and organizational revitalization.

The selection targets are 20 communities active in five categories: △solving local problems △living culture △care and education △food △crafts. These communities have graduated from the hopeful stage in the community promotion process.

Selected outstanding communities will receive the Mayor of Jeonju’s commendation, support for consumable materials needed for community space creation, publication of an outstanding community activity storybook for community promotion, and opportunities to be selected as instructors during education and workshops.

Jeonju City plans to announce the recruitment of outstanding communities in early next month.
