Major KPGA Championship Day 2: Seo Yoseop Shoots 7 Under Par for 2nd Place, Moon Doyeop and Park Sanghyun Tied for 3rd, Kim Hanbyeol Tied for 20th

On the 13th, at A-One Golf Course in Yangsan-si, Gyeongnam (par 70, 6,971 yards), during the second day of the 64th KPGA Championship, a major event on the Korean Professional Golfers' Association (KPGA) Korean Tour, Park shot a daily best 7-under par to instantly take the top spot on the leaderboard with a total of 12-under par 128. Seo Yo-seop (25, DB Insurance) is in second place at 11-under par 129, while Kim Ju-hyung (19, CJ Logistics), Lee Won-jun (Australia), Moon Do-yeop (30, DB Insurance), and Park Sang-hyun (38, Dong-A Pharmaceutical) are tied for third place at 9-under par 131.
Starting from a tie for third place, 2 strokes behind, Park Jun-won made seven birdies. He reduced three strokes in the front nine with a birdie on the 4th hole (par 3) and consecutive birdies on the 8th and 9th holes. In the back nine, he collected four birdies on the 11th, 13th, 14th, and 16th holes. Leading by one stroke, he seized the opportunity for his second career win in seven years since the 2014 major GS Caltex Maekyung Open. He debuted on the Korean Tour in 2008 and won the 2016 Japan Golf Tour Organization (JGTO) ISPS Handa Global Cup.
Kim Ju-hyung, the 'top money earner,' reduced five strokes and is chasing the leader by three strokes. Kim Bi-o (31, Hoban Construction) and Byun Young-jae (27) are tied for seventh place at 8-under par 132. Kim Han-byeol (25, SK Telecom), who was the leader the previous day, fell to a tie for 20th place at 4-under par 136 after shooting 3-over par. Lee Hyung-jun (29) and Kim Tae-hoon (36) are also in this group. Choi Jin-ho (37) and Lee Jae-kyung (22, CJ OnStyle) are tied for 30th place at 3-under par 137, looking to move up the ranks.
