Ministry of Science and ICT Hosts the '2021 Science and Technology Cooperative Contest'

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-su] The Ministry of Science and ICT will hold the '2021 Science and Technology Cooperative Contest' from the 9th of this month to the 13th of next month. This contest has been held since 2018 to promote the establishment of cooperatives based on science and technology and to discover excellent cases.

There are two categories: 'Business Idea' and 'Excellent Model.' In each category, a total of 10 ideas will be selected and awarded, including Grand Prize, Excellence Award, Merit Award, and two Encouragement Awards, with a total prize money of 52 million KRW. The 'Business Idea' category seeks ideas with high potential for establishment and growth that can operate as cooperatives by integrating scientific and technological expertise. Anyone, including individuals, teams, and corporations, can participate.

The 'Excellent Model' category discovers outstanding cases among science and technology cooperatives that have excellent business items and marketability, and possess scalability and ripple effects that can contribute to job creation and regional growth. Applications can be submitted through the Science and Technology Cooperative Support Center website from the 9th until 6 PM on the 13th of next month.
