The Noryangjin Fisheries Wholesale Market in Dongjak-gu, Seoul, which experienced another COVID-19 cluster infection following the outbreak in May, is quieter than usual. Since one worker tested positive on the 3rd, a total of 17 workers and 6 family members have been infected. Epidemiological investigations revealed that the facility complied with quarantine rules such as disinfection and temperature checks, but the underground workspace where the infections occurred was reported to have poor natural ventilation. Health authorities have closed some facilities, including the workspace. Here are photos capturing the subdued atmosphere of Noryangjin Fisheries Wholesale Market as customer traffic has decreased during the holiday.
