[Damyang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] The Damyang Office of Education Invention Education Center announced that from the 2nd to the 6th, a 5-day (20-hour) Summer Vacation Creative Convergence Invention Maker Camp was conducted as an online special lecture for 24 elementary and middle school students in Damyang.
Due to COVID-19, this special lecture was held online, with learning kits prepared and delivered to each home by courier. Before the online lecture, a preliminary meeting was held to check the learning kits and explain the online class methods.
The Creative Convergence Invention Maker online special lecture was conducted through the Invention Maker course and the New Material Convergence Education course. During the Invention Maker course, students explored the principles of creation by producing various works based on a basic understanding of invention and invention ideas.
In the New Material Convergence Education course, students learned the process of directly creating creative works using 3D pens and 3D modeling or expressing them precisely through modeling and outputting them with a 3D printer.
Education Director Kim Cheolju said, “We expect that this Creative Convergence Invention Maker education will enhance students’ inventive thinking and creativity,” and added, “We will strive to establish various support systems so that students can nurture their talents with their dreams from an early age and grow into key talents of future society.”
