Next Week's Release 'Galaxy Buds2'... Already Unboxing?

[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] With the Galaxy Unpacked event for the second half of the year just a week away, unboxing photos of Samsung Electronics' new wireless earphones, the 'Galaxy Buds2,' have been leaked.

On the 4th (local time), IT specialist media SamMobile and others cited IT tipster Ahmed Qwaider's Twitter to reveal real photos of the unreleased Buds2.

According to the released photos, the Buds2 consists of earbuds, a portable charging case, and a USB charging cable. The design matches the previously revealed renderings. The product shown in the photos is in Olive Green color, with the exterior of the portable charging case in white and the interior featuring a two-tone design in Olive Green, matching the earbuds.

The Buds2 is expected to be Samsung's third wireless earbud equipped with Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) functionality, following the premium 'Galaxy Buds Pro' and 'Galaxy Buds Live.' Notably, a new feature has been added that activates ANC even when the earphone is worn in only one ear.

The Buds2 can be used for 5 hours with ANC activated on a single charge, and 8 hours when ANC is deactivated. The portable case is expected to provide 13 hours of power with ANC on and 20 hours with ANC off.

The battery capacity is 60 milliampere-hours (mAh) for each earbud and 472mAh for the portable charging case, with an IPX7 waterproof rating expected to be applied. Additionally, it will be released in four colors: Black, Olive Green, Purple, and White, and will support Bluetooth version 5.2, an improvement over the Bluetooth 5.0 supported by the Buds Pro and 'Galaxy Buds+'.

Samsung Electronics will unveil the Buds2, along with the next-generation foldable smartphones 'Galaxy Z Fold3' and 'Galaxy Z Flip3,' and the smartwatch 'Galaxy Watch4' series at the Galaxy Unpacked event held online on the 11th.
