[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Comprehensive food company Sajodaerim announced on the 5th that its premium sausage bar series ‘Kkochida & Ppajyeoba’ surpassed 30 million cumulative sales just two years after its launch.
Sajodaerim analyzed that the ‘Kkochida & Ppajyeoba’ series achieved good results by capturing the hearts of the MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z) through its differentiated shape, fun names, and the unique taste of pork compared to existing sausage products.
‘Kkochida & Ppajyeoba’ features a crispy exterior grilled at high temperature with direct flame using a grill oven, maintaining moisture and juiciness. The combination of the grilled direct flame aroma and the distinctive flavor of pork allows consumers to enjoy a more special taste.
As consumer response to the ‘Kkochida & Ppajyeoba’ products continued, Sajodaerim additionally launched ‘Mae-komhame Kkochida’ (Spicy Kkochida) in the same year, and last year expanded the product lineup with new releases such as ‘Hanip-e Kkochida Maeunmat’ (One-bite Spicy Kkochida) and ‘Soseu-e Kkochyeoba’ (Sauce Kkochyeoba). Through this, sales in 2020 more than doubled compared to 2019, showing steep growth. This year, to continue its popularity, ‘Vienna-e Kkochida’ (Vienna Kkochida) will be newly introduced.
The newly introduced ‘Vienna-e Kkochida’ is a convenient sausage skewer bar with scored Vienna sausages skewered one by one, made with 100% domestic pork. It is smoked in the first stage and then baked in the oven in the second stage, offering a mild taste with a crispy and chewy exterior and a moist interior texture.
Song Mina, Marketing Team Manager at Sajodaerim, said, “The Kkochida & Ppajyeoba products were newly launched targeting the MZ generation, with efforts made not only in the product’s name and shape but also in taste and quality.
