Han, a nursing student at Shinseong University, was aware that the golden time for a cardiac arrest patient is 5 minutes. Therefore, she promptly provided accurate CPR as an initial response until the paramedics arrived.

Han’s actions were recognized when the customer expressed her gratitude through the store owner, which was then reported to the headquarters. GS Retail presented Han with a certificate of appreciation and a reward of 1 million won. Han said, "As a nursing major, seeing the customer collapse right before my eyes, I sensed it was a serious situation and immediately performed CPR," adding, "I feel rewarded to hear that the customer was safely discharged."

A GS Retail official stated, "This case, where a precious life was saved without panic in an emergency, reminded us once again of the importance of CPR," and added, "We will expand CPR training both inside and outside the company in the future."
