Kia Sales Hub Offering Vehicle Viewing, Test Drives, Purchases, and Brand Experiences
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Kia announced that it will officially open the ‘Kia Gangseo Flagship Store’ on the 5th, providing a future-oriented customer experience based on digital technology, from vehicle display to test drives, purchases, and brand experiences.
The Gangseo Flagship Store is a space embodying Kia’s new brand direction to inspire customers through innovative products and services. It was completed by applying Kia’s new design philosophy, ‘Opposites United’ (creative fusion of contrasting concepts), to the existing Gayang branch located in Gangseo-gu, Seoul.
Kia operates various digital-based untact services at the Gangseo Flagship Store for customers who prefer not to have direct interaction with staff.
Customers can receive a digital ID in the form of a QR code called ‘Store Pass’ via kiosks located at the entrance or through Kia’s website, allowing them to check necessary information for store experiences without staff assistance.
Inside, a large media wall measuring 4.1 meters in height and 14.6 meters in length has been installed. Customers can experience 3D images of the vehicle’s interior and exterior, as well as door and trunk opening/closing and turn signal operation, through the ‘3D Configurator’ software that virtually implements the vehicle by combining selected options.
A ‘Digital Color Collection’ that allows customers to view all of Kia’s exterior colors is also provided. Forty tablet PCs installed within the Digital Color Collection present a Kia color show in a card flip format, and when a color is selected, customers can see a list of vehicles available in that color along with vehicle specifications.
Additionally, the ‘Interactive Ground’ space is operated, where customers can shoot videos against various virtual backgrounds along with the dedicated electric vehicle EV6 on display. Using technology that changes camera angles based on location, the Interactive Ground offers a function to save the recorded results to the Store Pass, promising a unique experience for customers.
Enhancing Customer Satisfaction through Customized Test Drive Programs and Vehicle Purchase Consultations
From mid-month, the Gangseo Flagship Store will also operate diverse test drive programs for customers who want to experience vehicle performance.
The test drives are composed of ▲ ‘Urban Life Course,’ an urban-type course ▲ ‘Refresh Course,’ which includes high-speed driving mainly on automobile-only roads ▲ and ‘Smart Course,’ where customers can experience various advanced technologies such as ADAS.
At the Gangseo Flagship Store, a guide docent will be stationed to provide detailed explanations about the vehicles and assist customers in selecting their preferred test drive course, vehicle model, and whether to have a staff member accompany them. Test drive reservations can be made through Kia’s website or on-site.
A ‘Sales Consulting Room’ has also been prepared for customers considering vehicle purchases. Customers can receive detailed vehicle estimates in a private space and save the finalized estimates to their Store Pass after consulting with a salesperson.
A Kia official stated, “In the untact era, we opened the Gangseo Flagship Store so that customers can easily experience vehicles digitally beyond the constraints of time and space. Going forward, Kia will continue to expand digital-based, customer-tailored future hubs to provide meaningful experiences to customers.”
