"Companies Also Meet as Avatars"… LG CNS Opens Metaverse Town An LG CNS employee is having a video meeting with a customer in the Metaverse Town.


LG CNS is meeting customers by utilizing the metaverse (3D virtual world). Recently, metaverse services targeting the MZ generation in transactions between companies and consumers have now expanded into the business-to-business (B2B) sector.


LG CNS announced on the 5th that it has opened a customer contact space called ‘LG CNS Town (Metaverse Town).’ Visitors to this place can explore LG CNS’s digital transformation (DX) business. In Metaverse Town, you can experience the DX services provided by the company, such as cloud, artificial intelligence (AI), logistics, and security. For example, you can watch a video of a smart logistics center implemented with digital twins and request consultations with experts.


Metaverse Town consists of various spaces such as a showroom, seminar room, and lounge. In the showroom, you can view DX cases for each business through videos. The seminar room is in the form of a conference hall. Customers sit on chairs as avatars and communicate with presenters through video meetings. The lounge is a space for networking and events.


The company will also hold an ‘Application Modernization (AM) Web Seminar’ in Metaverse Town on the 26th. Prior to the opening of Metaverse Town, a preliminary gathering event for new employees was held in the virtual space on the 14th of last month.


Kim Hong-geun, Executive Director of LG CNS, said, "The metaverse will be a game changer in the future digital era after COVID-19," adding, "We will expand marketing activities using the metaverse so that customers can experience tangible DX."
