[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] CU announced on the 5th that it will launch the second collaboration beer with Malpyo Industry, "Malpyo Green Grape Ale," targeting the summer season.
Malpyo Green Grape Ale is a hard seltzer type alcoholic beverage made by adding alcohol and fruit flavors to carbonated water. It is brewed using a top-fermentation method, characterized by a lighter body and rich aroma compared to the existing Malpyo dark beer. While the previously released Malpyo dark beer was a dark ale with intense flavors of espresso and dark chocolate, Malpyo Green Grape Ale is a low-alcohol white ale emphasizing the refreshing charm of green grapes, suitable for summer.
The product packaging features Malpyo Industry's symbol character, Przewalski's wild horse, which was also included in the Malpyo dark beer, and uses a green color that visually conveys a refreshing feeling to enhance the cool impression.
A BGF Retail official said, "Recently, a craft beer syndrome has emerged in convenience stores, with various products being released, changing the landscape of the alcoholic beverage market. We will continue to introduce differentiated new products through collaborations with various brands and manufacturers."
