[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] The video for Episode 5 of Dobong Policy White Paper Season 2, titled Dobong ‘DBDB Map,’ has been released through the ‘Dobongbong TV Channel.’
‘Dobong Policy White Paper’ is a segment that selects distinctive projects of Dobong every month and explains them in an easy-to-understand manner by a Dobong announcer. ‘Policy White Paper Season 2’ started in March this year and has currently released up to Episode 5.
This policy white paper introduced the analysis results of keyword changes in Dobong over the past seven years using Dobong’s big data sharing plaza ‘DBDB Map’ and the ‘Hyean System - Big Data Common Platform (Social Analysis).’
‘DBDB Map’ is a name created by combining Dobong’s English initials DB and the database DB. In November 2020, the district established the ‘DBDB Map’ website, a Dobong-type public data platform, and opened it to residents.
Dobong District set the analysis search term as ‘Dobong’ and compared search values from news, blogs, Twitter, etc., for one year from July 1, 2014, to June 30, 2015, and another year from July 1, 2020, to June 14, 2021.
The results of this big data analysis can be viewed on the Dobong Policy White Paper video homepage. The video can be watched by searching ‘Dobongbong TV’ on YouTube, and DBDB Map can be accessed by searching ‘DBDB Map’ on search portals or through the link at the top right of the Dobong District website.
In an interview for the policy white paper video, Dobong District Mayor Dongjin Lee said, “Dobong District has actively utilized big data in administration, such as analyzing areas with high foot traffic to prioritize installing shade shelters at crosswalks, or analyzing where women living alone reside to create women’s safety paths. The big data of our neighborhood, DBDB Map, which can be easily used on smartphones, is now in your hands, so we ask for your active use.”
Dobong District plans to continue delivering various aspects of the district to residents in an easy-to-understand way with announcer Yeona Lee through the policy white paper. By visiting the ‘Dobongbong TV’ channel, you can access not only the policy white paper but also works by Dobong video creators and Dobong weekly news, along with various news related to Dobong District.
