Hwasun-gun Selected for 'Job-Linked Support Housing Public Project'

[Hwasun=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Ji-woon] Jeollanam-do Hwasun-gun (Governor Gu Chung-gon) announced on the 4th that it was recently selected as a recipient of the 'First Half Job-Linked Support Housing Public Contest' organized by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.

Earlier, in May, the county applied for the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's job-linked support housing public contest to alleviate the housing burden of small and medium-sized enterprise workers and improve workforce supply for companies, and was selected.

Following the selection, 42 units of public housing exclusively for workers will be built on a 9,140㎡ project site located in Dong-myeon, and a complex cultural center construction project for companies in the agricultural and industrial complex will also be promoted simultaneously.

The job-linked support housing construction project, which the county will comprehensively plan and promote including construction and operation, will involve a total project cost of about 8 billion KRW, with construction scheduled to begin next year.

The county expects to create a synergy effect by linking and promoting the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's job-linked support housing public contest and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy's industrial (agricultural and industrial) complex complex cultural center public contest.

A county official said, "We will build exclusive housing that will provide stable residential space for workers in the agricultural and industrial complex, along with a complex of local community and cultural facilities," adding, "The complex facility linking jobs, culture, and corporate support centers will enhance workers' residential welfare, greatly aiding talent recruitment and revitalization of the local industry."
