Korea Exchange Announces Substitute Holidays for Gwangbokjeol, Gaecheonjeol, and Hangul Day


[Asia Economy Reporter Gong Byung-sun] The Korea Exchange announced on the 4th that it will close the securities, derivatives, and general commodities markets on the 16th, and on October 4th and 11th, in accordance with the government's expansion of substitute holidays.


The securities markets closed on these dates include ▲the stock market ▲the markets for Exchange-Traded Funds (ETF), Exchange-Traded Notes (ETN), and Equity-Linked Warrants (ELW) ▲the beneficiary certificate market ▲the subscription warrant and securities market ▲the bond market including repurchase agreements (repo) ▲and the Korea Exchange Startup Market (KSM).


The derivatives market, which includes the Eurex-linked global market, and the general commodities market trading oil, gold, and emission permits will also be closed on the substitute holidays.
