Kumho Construction announced on the 4th that 'Geomdan Kumho Eoullim Central,' located in Geomdan New Town, Incheon, won the Minister of Environment Award in the private sector at the 11th Korea Landscape Awards.
The 'Korea Landscape Awards,' co-hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Korea Landscape Architecture Society, is a contest that discovers excellent facilities or spaces created and managed through landscaping activities and encourages the citizens and institutions involved.
The evaluation consisted of a first round of document screening and a second round of on-site inspection and public participation evaluation. This year’s public participation voting for the Landscape Awards was conducted online, allowing each person to select up to five works (no duplicate voting allowed).
The public sale apartment 'Geomdan Kumho Eoullim Central,' promoted through a private participation method by the Kumho Construction consortium and Incheon Urban Corporation, received high marks for its outstanding landscape design. The complex consists of 13 buildings ranging from two basement floors to 29 above-ground floors, with a total of 1,452 households. Construction was completed this year, and move-in began last month.
Designed with a nature-friendly landscaping plan to improve residents’ quality of life and an outdoor space design that responds to climate change and diseases, the project aims to provide a sustainable residential complex. In particular, the concept focused on an eco-friendly complex that uses forests and water as key elements to offer a revitalizing and energizing experience through environmentally friendly features.
A representative from Kumho Construction’s product design team said, "Building on the foundation of winning the Korea Landscape Awards, we will provide the best housing products that bring joy and comfort to the residents of Kumho Eoullim in the future."
