Jangseong-gun Recruiting Participants for 'Rural New Vitality Plus Project'

[Jangseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jo Hangyu] Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Yoo Doo-seok) announced on the 3rd that it is recruiting the 2nd activity groups to participate in this year's Rural New Vitality Plus Project until the 27th.

The Rural New Vitality Plus Project, a public contest project by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, is a project that creates a foundation for organizing people and enabling activities for the sustainable growth of rural areas.

The county proposed the "Hinoki Forest Harmony (林) Healing Travel Project" utilizing the Chukryeongsan Hinoki forest and was finally selected as a project site in 2019, securing a project budget of 7 billion KRW over four years.

The activity groups consist of local residents and youth promoting the Rural New Vitality Plus Project. The principle is that each group should have at least 10 members, but youth under 39 years old can participate with at least 5 members.

Last year, 9 teams (118 people) of the 1st activity groups were selected and supported in developing products and tourism content utilizing the Chukryeongsan Hinoki forest resources.

The recruitment scale is about 12 teams, and the fields include ▲experience activities ▲food ▲travel content ▲festival planning ▲youth entrepreneurship, covering all aspects for the commercialization of Hinoki forest resources.

Applications can be submitted by visiting the county's Rural New Vitality Plus Project team or by email until the 27th.

A county official said, "We will do our best to nurture sound activity groups to manage the Hinoki forest so that the local economy of the Chukryeongsan area can become vibrant," and added, "We ask for your great interest and participation."
