[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] Kyowon Group has partnered with seasoned laver manufacturer Gwangcheon Kim to launch seasoned laver for lunchboxes, aiming to expand touchpoints with the MZ generation and provide new customer experiences.
On the 3rd, Kyowon Group announced that it will sell a limited edition of ‘Red Pen Ttaengkim’ in collaboration with Gwangcheon Kim, a seasoned laver manufacturer.
Kyowon Group explained that the Red Pen Ttaengkim was created to commemorate the 30th anniversary of its own study paper brand Red Pen and the brand renewal as a leading edutech brand.
This product was planned with a unique concept targeting the MZ generation who experienced solving Red Pen study papers in their childhood: “When problems don’t get solved, use the red pen; when life doesn’t get solved, use Red Pen Ttaengkim.” Red Pen Ttaengkim is composed of 12 packs of lunchbox-sized laver (5g each).
The Red Pen goods products are also sold on Market85, an online commerce platform operated by Kyowon Group, K Members Mall, and Naver Smart Store Market85.
To celebrate the launch of this product, Kyowon Group is holding a ‘Lucky Gold Kim’ event. Coupons are randomly included in one set (12 packs) of Red Pen Ttaengkim, offering prizes such as 24K pure gold cards and Starbucks gifticons.
