Tmon announced that its sales of home multifunction printers in July alone rose sharply by more than three times (258%) compared to the same period last year, and grew 116% compared to June.

Recently, the printer and multifunction printer market size had been shrinking due to the "digital transformation." However, with the fourth wave of COVID-19, the proportion of remote work for office workers and online classes for students increased again, leading to a rise in demand for printers and multifunction printers in each household, resulting in an unusually large growth.

The products that actually drove the sales increase were mostly small-sized, home-use devices. As the time spent at home increased due to COVID-19, the use of multifunction printers and printers within companies slightly decreased, while the market for small multifunction printers and printers for home offices and online classes expanded. In addition, sales of PCs and monitors also increased by 47% and 50%, respectively, compared to the same period last year.
