[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Hyun-joo] Former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol has begun actively expanding his support base just four days after joining the People Power Party.

According to Yoon's 'People's Camp' on the 3rd, Jang Je-won, a three-term People Power Party lawmaker, has joined as the head of the camp's comprehensive situation room. Lawmaker Jang had shown close ties and support even before Yoon joined the party. He is expected to oversee the overall operations of the camp.

First-term lawmaker Lee Yong will serve as the chief of staff. Lee is a former national luger and served as the general manager of the bobsleigh and skeleton national team at the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics. He also previously served as the People Power Party's floor deputy representative.

It is also reported that aides of incumbent People Power Party lawmakers are being dispatched to support Yoon's camp.

Former Prosecutor General Yoon, who had some friction with the party leadership just before joining the People Power Party, seems to be making up for it with an aggressive schedule. On this day, he will meet with party branch chiefs and personally engage in recruiting party members.

Yoon is scheduled to attend a meeting with out-of-parliament branch chiefs from the Gangbuk area, along with incumbent lawmakers such as Jeong Yang-seok. After the meeting, he will have lunch with lawmakers Park Seong-jung, Song Seok-jun, and Lee Man-hee in the basement first floor of the People Power Party headquarters.

In the afternoon, he will also participate in a party member recruitment campaign. Yoon will visit the Eunpyeong District party member council in Seoul and join the recruitment drive under the name "A Bigger People Power Party."
