[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] Woori Bank announced on the 3rd that it has launched the 'Woori Naeri Sarang Gold Trust,' the first pre-gift event-type trust product in the financial sector.
The Woori Naeri Sarang Gold Trust reflects the recent trend of skip-generation gifting among high-net-worth individuals. This product allows the beneficiary to withdraw physical gold or cash upon the occurrence of events such as university admission, studying abroad, or marriage, as stated in the contract at the time of trust establishment, or with the donor's consent, making it usable as purpose funds.
The minimum subscription amount for the Woori Naeri Sarang Gold Trust is 10 million KRW, and customers who subscribe by the end of this year will receive free gift tax filing agency services.
A Woori Bank official said, "With the acceleration of wealth transfer through inheritance and gifting due to aging and rising asset values, we have launched the first pre-gift event-type trust product in the financial sector," adding, "We expect that the Woori Naeri Sarang Gold Trust will expand the base of trusts, which were considered exclusive to high-net-worth individuals, and establish itself as a pillar of comprehensive asset management services."
