Supporting Digital Transformation for SMEs... Seoul Digital Foundation Hosts Online Seminar with 'Naver Clova' and Others

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul Digital Foundation announced on the 2nd that it will hold an online seminar titled "Practical Methods for Digital Transformation (DT) Business Innovation in the New Normal Era." This seminar will be held once a week for six sessions from the 6th of this month to September 7th.

The seminar is designed to share corporate cases leading digital innovation using technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and blockchain, aiming to promote business model development and organizational culture improvement for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and prospective companies.

While digital transformation has accelerated due to COVID-19, unlike large corporations attempting digital transformation of their business models with capital and technological capabilities, the majority of SMEs are facing difficulties due to practical limitations. In response, the foundation held a seminar last December on the development direction of non-face-to-face work environments in the digital new normal era, raising the necessity for creating digital environments and innovating organizational culture for SMEs amid changes caused by COVID-19. This seminar goes a step further by presenting actual cases of technology adoption in business sites and concrete methods.

Experts from six leading digital companies, including Naver Clova, Naver Whale, and Akara Korea, will participate as speakers to introduce cases of core technology adoption for digital transformation and directions for organizational culture. The seminar will cover six topics in total, including AI service development on web platforms, changes in organizational culture in the digital new normal era, utilization of Internet of Things technology in the digital transformation era, and AI model utilization based on AI as a Service (AlaaS).

The seminar will be conducted online to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and will be broadcast live in real-time through the Seoul Digital Foundation's YouTube channel.

Anyone interested in digital transformation, including employees of SMEs and prospective entrepreneurs, can participate by submitting an application form in advance through the Seoul Digital Foundation website. Applications for Track 1 "Utilization of AI Models Based on AlaaS," which will be held on the 6th, are accepted until 6 PM on the 5th.

Park Jong-su, Acting President of the Seoul Digital Foundation, said, "To successfully respond to the rapidly changing industrial paradigm shift in the digital era, digital transformation and innovation of companies are not optional but essential," adding, "Through this seminar, we hope that vivid cases and know-how from business sites will be shared so that SMEs struggling due to COVID-19 can effectively prepare for digital and non-face-to-face transformation."
