[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jin-young] It has been reported that Yoon Seok-yeol, the opposition presidential candidate and former Prosecutor General, had dinner with Geum Tae-seop, former member of the Democratic Party of Korea, on the 31st of last month and exchanged opinions on regime change.
Yoon's People’s Camp announced on the 1st, “On the evening of the 31st of last month, there was a dinner meeting between former Prosecutor General Yoon and former Assemblyman Geum.”
The camp stated, “While having a phone call with former Assemblyman Geum in the afternoon, they arranged a dinner meeting on short notice and had a warm conversation over a meal lasting about 90 minutes,” adding, “It was a time of mutual agreement on regime change to create a ‘country where the common sense of the people prevails.’”
They further added, “The two will continue to frequently exchange broader opinions in the future, and after joining the People Power Party, they will embark on the path of expanding outreach to lead diverse public participation.”
