[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] A man in his 50s trekking in Jeju fell into a valley and died in an accident.

According to the Jeju Fire Safety Headquarters on the 31st, at around 11:50 a.m. that day, Mr. A (57), who was trekking near Hyomyeongsa Temple in Sinrye-ri, Namwon-eup, Seogwipo City, slipped on a downhill path and fell into a valley below.

The 119 rescue team, dispatched after a report from Mr. A's party, arrived at the scene around 1:30 p.m. and rescued Mr. A using ropes around 1:55 p.m., but he was already deceased.
