[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] Gunwi County announced that since the 29th, it has introduced the 080 Safe Call Access Management Service at 16 locations including the county office building, affiliated direct agencies and business offices, and eup/myeon offices.
Previously, visitors to the county office had to fill out a handwritten register or enter information into the electronic access system (QR code), but there were difficulties due to unfamiliarity with smartphones, the inconvenience of handwritten registers, and risks of personal information leakage.
By operating the Safe Call Access Management Service, various inconveniences are resolved, and it is expected to greatly help efficient quarantine by quickly identifying visitors in case of COVID-19 confirmed cases and blocking connections. The call fee for Safe Call is supported by Gunwi County, and the collected information is automatically deleted after 4 weeks, so visitors to the office can use it without any burden.
Kim Youngman, Gunwi County Governor, stated, "After reviewing the use of disaster management funds for efficient COVID-19 quarantine response and alleviating visitor inconveniences, we will expand the operation to local small business owners and religious facilities."
