Goheung-gun Gwayeok-myeon Resident Autonomy Committee Shares Love with Yeolmu Kimchi

[Goheung=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] The Gwaryeok-myeon Residents' Autonomy Committee (Chairman Jeong Gil-yong) of Goheung-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Song Gwi-geun) announced on the 30th that they conducted a volunteer activity called 'Sharing Love's Young Radish Kimchi' for vulnerable groups in the area the day before.

This volunteer activity was attended by 27 members of the Gwaryeok-myeon Residents' Autonomy Committee, who visited about 70 vulnerable households in the area exhausted by the summer heat and prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, delivering summer side dishes.

Chairman Jeong Gil-yong said, "Although everyone is struggling due to the hot weather and COVID-19, I hope this brings a small comfort to our neighbors in need," and added, "If there are places around that need help, we will continue to work steadily for the local residents."

Meanwhile, since the 20th, the Gwaryeok-myeon Residents' Autonomy Committee has been visiting each village in the area to provide education on smartphone use and voice phishing prevention to the elderly, receiving great responses. However, following the upgrade of social distancing levels due to the spread of COVID-19, the scheduled visiting informatization education has been temporarily postponed.
