On the 30th at Busan Youth Center, non-face-to-face 10-week program concludes with 6 department operators and over 100 students
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] The first semester graduation ceremony of Busan Youth School, established to serve as a growth platform through communication among youth, will be held at 7:30 PM on the 30th at the Busan Youth Center.
This first semester graduation ceremony will be conducted mainly online and non-face-to-face. One operator and one student from each department will attend in person, while the remaining 90 or so participants will join remotely.
With the graduation ceremony, about 100 youth group (companies and corporations) department operators and youth students will share their achievements and participation impressions, concluding the semester.
The departments operated in the first semester are ▲ Value Startup Beginning Department, which conducted mentoring classes for social enterprises in the Busan area ▲ My Own Leather Workshop Department, which held craft classes using leather ▲ Acting Myself Department, which conducted classes to resolve personal difficulties through theater ▲ Local Emotional Photography Record Department, which taught photography methods and captured beautiful scenery around Yeongju-dong, culminating in an actual exhibition ▲ Content Marketer Employment Department, which taught marketing for employment as content marketers and conducted real interviews ▲ Digital Sexual Violence Youth Elimination Department, which dealt with digital sexual violence cases based on various precedents together with professional lawyers, totaling six departments.
They began enrollment in May and conducted a 10-week curriculum both online and offline in accordance with the COVID-19 situation.
This school is a platform where youth groups (companies, corporations, etc.) with diverse local experiences and professional capabilities become department operators, directly planning curricula and teaching them to youth.
It provides youth groups with opportunities to demonstrate their capabilities and offers youth new learning experiences and chances to build networks.
A total of 12 departments were established this year, and after the first semester graduation ceremony, recruitment for the second semester youth students will begin in early August, with another six departments to be operated.
Park Hyung-jun, Mayor of Busan, said, “We will prepare various policies for the communication, collaboration, and growth of youth who will be the future leaders of Busan to create ‘Busan, a city where youth want to stay.’”
