Shilla CC "Donation of 10 Million Won for Neighbor Assistance"

Yeoju Shilla CC has stepped up to help neighbors in need.

On the 28th, they visited Yeoju City Hall and donated 10 million won. They explained, "We participated to help neighbors who are struggling due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic." The donation was delivered to the Gyeonggi Social Welfare Community Chest and will be used for underprivileged groups and welfare recipients in the area. CEO Park Hyung-sik said, "As social distancing has continued for a long time, it has been an even more difficult time for vulnerable groups," adding, "Although it is not a large amount, we hope it will be of some help in quarantine and recovery from damages."

Mayor Lee Hang-jin of Yeoju said, "We are grateful to Shilla CC for extending a sincere helping hand during a time when social distancing measures are being strengthened again," and added, "We will use the support carefully where it is needed." Last year, Shilla CC donated 12 laptops to Yeoju City to support remote learning for local students. They also delivered goods worth about 5 million won, including briquettes, electric blankets, and ramen, to the Buknae-myeon Administrative Welfare Center in Yeoju City to help ensure a safe winter.
