Gyeonggi-do Supports Game Community Activities... Up to 20 Million Won

[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province will provide up to 20 million KRW to events hosted by game communities or social contribution activities.

On the 29th, Gyeonggi Province announced that it will support up to 20 million KRW under the "Game Community Activity Support Project" for nonprofit events utilizing games, such as e-sports, board games, retro games, and other small-scale game events led by game communities organized within the province or local groups.

Eligibility for support includes organizations operating game communities or hosting small-scale game events or social and cultural activities using games. However, more than 50% of the members of the applying organization must be Gyeonggi residents or affiliated with institutions within Gyeonggi Province. Events involving violent, sexual, or gambling-related games are excluded from application.

Selection of support recipients will be comprehensively evaluated based on the application containing the event plan, considering the appropriateness of the game category, ease of viewing and participation by residents, and the adequacy of the event costs.

In the first half of this year, the province supported the online activities of two communities, "Gudadong (Gyeonggi Ajae Meeting)" and "Suwon Youth Culture Center," through this project.

Communities wishing to participate can apply at any time through the website of the organizing institution, Gyeonggi Content Agency, until October 29.
