[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] On the 29th, Daejeon City announced on the 28th that it will install and operate a mobile temporary screening clinic capable of COVID-19 diagnostic testing inside Doan Elementary School in Seo-gu.
At the temporary screening clinic set up at Doan Elementary, about 1,000 people who will be released from self-quarantine the next day (the 30th) are expected to receive COVID-19 diagnostic tests.
The temporary screening clinic will be managed by two medical personnel from SQLab and four administrative staff dispatched by the city, with two medical personnel dispatched by the city and nine volunteers assisting with the testing.
Additionally, the Daejeon Western Police Station will support maintaining order on site.
The operating hours of the temporary screening clinic are from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM and from 1:30 PM to 6:00 PM.
The city plans to conduct tests by dividing schedules into groups for the safety and convenience of test subjects, and test results will be individually notified via text message on the morning of the 30th.
Lee Dong-han, Director of the City’s Health and Welfare Bureau, stated, “We plan to conduct proactive testing targeting those released from self-quarantine to prevent additional confirmed cases,” adding, “Since diagnostic testing before release from self-quarantine plays a very important role in preventing the spread of COVID-19, we urge all eligible individuals to visit the screening clinic and undergo testing.”
