Dong-Eui Science University Collaborates with AI and Intelligent IoT Institutions to Nurture Talent On the 26th, Dong-Eui Institute of Technology established industry-academia-research cooperation with three institutions specializing in AI and intelligent IoT.


[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Dong-Eui Institute of Technology signed an industry-academia-research cooperation agreement with three domestic institutions in the AI and intelligent IoT fields on the 26th at the university main building's large conference room.


The signing ceremony was attended by about 10 representatives from four institutions, including Dong-Eui Institute of Technology President Kim Young-do, AI Electronics Department Head Kim Tae-hoon, u-IoT Association Chairman Kim Kwon-chul, Artificial Intelligence Grand ICT Research Center and Busan IT Convergence Components Research Institute Director Jeong Seok-chan, and Artificial Intelligence Convergence Technology Society Chairman Park Jun-mo.


On this day, Dong-Eui Institute of Technology individually signed industry-academia-research cooperation agreements with the three institutions.


The institutions agreed to establish a cooperative system to exchange information on AI and intelligent IoT technologies and to activate manpower supply and demand, aiming to lead synergistic development in these fields.


The main agreement contents include ▲ cooperation in hiring excellent professionals ▲ cooperation in developing AI and intelligent IoT related technologies ▲ joint participation and support in educational projects ▲ information exchange for industry-academia-research linked technology development and solving technical difficulties ▲ joint operation and participation in industry-academia councils.


President Kim Young-do said, “As artificial intelligence and Internet of Things technologies are integrated into existing industrial sites to create high value-added industries, we will strengthen the educational and technological development capabilities among institutions to accelerate nurturing AI and IoT talents who will lead future society.”


Chairman Kim Kwon-chul said, “Well-trained graduates are welcomed in corporate sites for their excellent capabilities and diligent, sincere attitudes. We will continue to strengthen cooperation so that member companies can educate and discover the talents they seek.”


Director Jeong Seok-chan said, “In fostering specialized manpower in artificial intelligence and IT convergence components industries, we aim to establish a close partnership with Dong-Eui Institute of Technology to promote regional and industrial innovation.”


Chairman Park Jun-mo said, “We expect the Artificial Intelligence Convergence Technology Society and Dong-Eui Institute of Technology to cooperate and develop in various fields, such as participating jointly in manpower training projects and presenting joint technology development.”


The AI Electronics Department of Dong-Eui Institute of Technology is focusing on nurturing specialized technicians in core fields of the 4th Industrial Revolution, including AI, IoT, drones, robots, and semiconductor displays, based on practical field-oriented education.
