Goheung-gun Youth Support Center 'Goheung Cheongchun Nuri' Opens

Culture, Arts, and Communication Complex Space... Youth Employment and Startup Consulting Available

[Goheung=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Goheung-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Song Gwi-geun) announced on the 28th that it has opened the youth support center ‘Goheung Cheongchun Nuri’ to prevent the outflow of young population and support various activities such as youth jobs, startups, and cultural arts.

The event held the day before was attended by about 30 people, including Governor Song Gwi-geun, Song Young-hyun, chairman of the Goheung County Council, council members, youth policy council members, and local residents.

Considering the spread of COVID-19, the event was conducted in strict compliance with COVID-19 prevention rules such as wearing masks, temperature checks, and social distancing.

Goheung Cheongchun Nuri is a project promoted after being selected in the Ministry of the Interior and Safety’s ‘2020 Community Revitalization Foundation Project’ contest.

With a project budget of 570 million KRW, the former fire station, an idle building, was remodeled into a youth job counseling room, youth consultation space, art exhibition space, and multipurpose room. It is available to any local youth.

The county plans to carry out various projects such as youth employment and startup programs and cultural performances so that ‘Goheung Cheongchun Nuri’ can become a dream nurturing place where young people freely grow their dreams and a dream fulfillment place where they find stable jobs.

In addition, the county is newly promoting projects to encourage youth employment, startups, and hiring companies as new policies, such as the ‘High School Graduates Social Advancement Growth Ladder Support Project,’ ‘Youth Employment, Startup, and Hiring Company Support Project,’ and ‘Youth Farmer Land Lease Fee Support Project.’
