[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] OB Beer’s craft beer collaboration brand, Korea Brewers Collective (hereinafter KBC), announced on the 28th that it will launch ‘Kya Sounding Beer’ (hereinafter Kya Beer) in collaboration with Baedal Minjok and 7-Eleven.
‘Kya Beer’ is a lager-type craft beer named intuitively after the natural ‘kya’ sound that bursts out when drinking a refreshing beer. The front of the package features the character ‘Kya’ written in Baedal Minjok’s font, ‘Hanna.’
‘Kya Beer’ is a lager beer that faithfully delivers refreshing crispness and a clean throat feel, characterized by a harmonious balance of bitterness and sweetness. Its subtle floral aroma is also an attractive feature of ‘Kya Beer.’ With an alcohol content of 4.7%, it is available nationwide at 7-Eleven stores.
The product development was led by Yoon Jung-hoon, Brewmaster of OB Beer’s craft beer collaboration brand KBC. Brewmaster Yoon is a renowned brewmaster representing Korea both domestically and internationally, with numerous awards from international beer competitions and extensive brewing experience, as well as serving as a judge at international beer contests.
This ‘Kya Beer’ is a collaborative product created by OB Beer’s KBC brand following ‘Nordisk Beer’ and ‘Baekyang Bien Lager.’ With this, OB Beer has introduced collaborative products with all four major convenience store brands in Korea.
Yoon Jung-hoon, Director of OB Beer KBC, said, “We aimed to create a beer that consumers can easily approach based on rich refreshment and drinkability,” adding, “Going forward, OB Beer will continue to lead the craft beer market and expand consumer choices through collaborations with various diverse partners under the KBC brand.”
