[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] On the 28th, Minister Lim Hye-sook of the Ministry of Science and ICT visited the Sangam call center of Home&Shopping, a home shopping channel dedicated to small and medium-sized enterprises, to check the status of COVID-19 response and encourage the employees.

As the importance of adhering to quarantine guidelines has increased due to the recent resurgence of COVID-19, the visit aimed to inspect and encourage the industry's efforts to comply with quarantine measures at call centers where many people work in close proximity.

Minister Lim Hye-sook said, "I appreciate the industry's efforts to prevent COVID-19, such as operating temporary call centers to disperse the workforce," and added, "I hope that quarantine guidelines will continue to be strictly followed throughout the operation of TV home shopping, including call centers, and that the public can use the services smoothly."
