[Asia Economy Reporter Kum Boryeong] Choi Jae-hyung, former head of the Board of Audit and Inspection and presidential candidate of the People Power Party, strongly criticized the current administration, saying that its "self-praise is the problem."

On the 27th, Choi stated on Facebook, "The Moon administration's self-praise is the problem."

Regarding the government's dispatch of an "aerial refueling aircraft" to the Cheonghae Unit soldiers, he said, "The Blue House sang a 'Moonbiecheonga' (excessive praise of Moon Jae-in) claiming that President Moon Jae-in ordered the dispatch of the aerial refueling aircraft, but just one day after the news dominated newspaper headlines, it was revealed that it was done according to the Joint Chiefs of Staff's manual. At a time when the focus should have been on how to quickly and safely return the soldiers for treatment and how to reassure their families, the Blue House was busy promoting the president."

Choi continued, "At the end of last year, President Moon had a direct phone call with the Moderna chairman and then heavily promoted as if there would be no problems with vaccine supply in our country. However, the supply of Moderna vaccines continues to face setbacks," he pointed out.

He added, "President Moon does not admit mistakes and continues with self-praise. He is so focused on his popularity and defending his approval ratings that he does not put effort into solving the risks and challenges facing us," criticizing the president.

Choi emphasized that politics is "putting oneself in another person's position and understanding another person's heart." He said, "I believe the spirit of considering another person's pain as my own pain should be fundamental. This is especially true for a president. I will always be a president who takes responsibility for the results of his actions. I will be a president who empathizes with the hearts of the people," raising his voice.
