Man Holds Sit-in Protest for Hours in Seoul Apartment Demanding Unpaid Wages Payment

[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] On the 27th afternoon, a man has been staging a sit-in protest for several hours on the structure of an apartment in Seoul.

According to the police and fire authorities, the man climbed onto the railing of a residential-commercial complex structure in Sindorim-dong, Guro-gu at around 12:55 PM and has not come down as of 3:15 PM.

The man is reported to have started the protest demanding unpaid wages.

The fire authorities have installed an air mattress below the railing to prevent accidents and are conducting rescue operations.
