WINS Partners with CrowdStrike to Target Next-Generation EDR Market

Building Security Across the Entire Network to Endpoint Devices

WINS Partners with CrowdStrike to Target Next-Generation EDR Market On the 26th, at the WINS headquarters, Park Gi-dam, Executive Director of WINS (left), and Lee Chang-hoon, Director in charge of CrowdStrike Korea Sales, posed for a commemorative photo after signing a next-generation EDR security business strategy partnership.

[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] WINS has partnered with CrowdStrike, an overseas company specializing in endpoint security (EDR) for user devices such as PCs and smartphones. They plan to operate a business that covers everything from cloud-based security monitoring to EDR solutions.

WINS announced on the 27th that it has signed a distribution partnership agreement with CrowdStrike. Accordingly, WINS has obtained the sales qualifications for next-generation antivirus (NGAV) that blocks threats using machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI), EDR solutions that detect and respond to real-time threats on endpoints, and managed security services including managed threat hunting.

CrowdStrike is a cloud-based security company headquartered in California, USA. It is recognized for its high technology in the fields of Endpoint Protection Platform (EPP) and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR). It gained attention when it verified the damage after the Democratic National Committee (DNC) servers were hacked during the 2016 U.S. presidential election.

Going forward, WINS expects to complement its endpoint product line and create synergy with its proven network security business capabilities such as Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) and DDoS mitigation systems. They aspire to establish a multi-layered security strategy that detects and responds to threats occurring across all areas from endpoints to networks.

Additionally, cloud security products such as Cloud Workload Protection Platform (CWPP) that protects resources and processes used in cloud operations, Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) solutions, and container security will also undergo verification processes and be provided to customers.

Park Kidam, Executive Director of WINS, said, "CrowdStrike is the fastest-growing company in the endpoint security market with cloud-based EDR technology. By providing excellent products for security across the entire environment from endpoints to networks and cloud, we will enhance customer satisfaction and grow into a cloud business operator responsible for overall IT infrastructure management."
