[Asia Economy Reporter Yoon Seul-gi] Hong Joon-pyo, a presidential candidate from the People Power Party, sharply criticized former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol, who targeted President Moon Jae-in as the person responsible for the 'Druking comment manipulation case,' calling him "the person accused of concealment" and saying, "He has no right to talk about that case."
On the 26th, in a post on his Facebook, Hong said, "It is not a matter to be politically raised belatedly by someone who was accused of concealment. After the first trial verdict, when I continuously said additional investigations were needed for higher-level investigations, what did the prosecution do at that time?" criticizing former Prosecutor General Yoon.

Hong continued, "If we follow Yoon candidate's claim, shouldn't he rather repent for having risen to the position of Prosecutor General in an illegitimate regime?" and pointed out, "The 'Druking case' is an issue to be raised by me, who was a victim, or Ahn Cheol-soo, the leader of the People’s Party."
Regarding former Prosecutor General Yoon's favorable stance on the pardons of former Presidents Lee Myung-bak and Park Geun-hye, Hong said, "Is it the normal attitude of a prosecutor to insist that investigations were conducted according to law and principles while politically demanding pardons for the two who were forcibly sent to prison?" criticizing Yoon for mentioning the pardons of former presidents.
Hong added, "That is not something a prosecutor should say," and "It only sounds like a confession that the investigations of the two were political and wrongful."
Meanwhile, on the 27th, Hong posted a new message on his Facebook saying, "It is ridiculous to talk about a special re-investigation now," expressing that he does not want a special re-investigation into the Druking case. However, he pointed out, "Since the legitimacy of the regime's launch has been damaged and President Moon is at the center of suspicion due to the 'Druking case,' shouldn't at least minimal measures be taken?"
