Review of 124 Major Projects Including the 6 Key Vision New Deal Large-Scale Construction in the Second Half of the 7th Elected Term

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] On the 26th, Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam Province, held a progress inspection report meeting for the 100 Major Projects for a Greater Geochang at the county office situation room, attended by senior public officials.

Presided over by County Governor Gu In-mo, this report meeting focused on checking the implementation status and issues of 124 major county projects aimed at realizing the county administration vision of "Greater Geochang, an Era of Citizen Happiness."

Among the 124 projects, the county has completed 12 projects including the Smart Village Broadcasting System Construction Project and the Public Parking Lot Construction Project around Geochang Bus Terminal.

Excluding seven projects such as national projects and those with unpredictable completion times, 105 projects are progressing normally. By sector, the Communication Administration and Culture & Tourism fields showed high implementation rates.

The Communication Administration sector includes establishing a 24-hour non-face-to-face civil complaint consultation system, introducing a KakaoTalk chatbot service to resolve citizen inconveniences, and producing drone footage of the cadastral re-survey project area to provide citizens with high-quality cadastral information.

The Culture & Tourism sector includes the creation of the Anti-Aging Healing Land, expected to attract tourists nationwide with unique forest leisure tourism infrastructure such as the country's only Y-shaped suspension bridge, registration as Gyeongsangnam-do's first local garden, designation as a representative ecotourism site, and the "Geochang Changpo-won Waterfront Space Ecological Resource Project" to enhance the value as a waterfront ecological park.

The 31st Geochang International Theater Festival, which was to be held for the first time in five years, was canceled due to COVID-19, but selected works will be regularly performed at local sites such as Suseungdae.

County Governor Gu In-mo said, "We have done our best so far with over 700 public officials to successfully promote the 100 Major Projects closely related to the lives of our citizens," and urged, "Please do your best to actively and thoroughly carry out the major county projects to realize an administration trusted by the citizens."
