[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Esconec announced on the 26th that its partner company ReCarbon, Inc. has signed a supply contract to build five green hydrogen production plants with H2Renewables, LLC, which holds a large amount of landfill gas based in nine southeastern states of the United States.
ReCarbon is a climate technology company based in Silicon Valley, USA, that developed a groundbreaking plasma technology platform called the Plasma Carbon Conversion Unit (PCCU), which converts greenhouse gases into low-carbon syngas and green hydrogen. Esconec is the manufacturing partner of ReCarbon's PCCU.
Under this supply contract, ReCarbon will participate in the construction of hydrogen plants with a total daily production capacity of 60 tons across five regions in the United States. The first plant will be built in McDonald, Tennessee, with a daily hydrogen production capacity of 12 tons.
ReCarbon provides flameless climate solutions to waste and biomass sites that simultaneously emit greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide and methane, as well as industries that emit large amounts of carbon dioxide. ReCarbon's climate solutions contribute to the creation of new green jobs by offering an economically viable new business model for reducing greenhouse gases.
Eco Hightech, a subsidiary of Esconec and the global exclusive manufacturing supply partner of ReCarbon PCCU, is responsible for producing PCCUs required for carbon resource utilization research and development led by the Ministry of Science and ICT in Korea. The mass production commercialization currently underway in the United States is expected to be gradually expanded.
An Esconec official stated, “Future plant construction order contracts are expected to proceed sequentially through sufficient consultations between ReCarbon and H2Renewables,” adding, “Our company is expected to supply the core equipment according to the project contract conditions as a key partner of ReCarbon.”
