[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Daejeon City announced on the 26th that it will conduct an integrated review of the recently submitted residential complex construction project application for the area of 340-1 Yucheon-dong (consisting of 3 buildings with a total of 526 households).
The integrated review for housing construction projects was announced on April 27 as a measure to revitalize the local economy and streamline the housing construction project approval process.
The integrated review consolidates the review process for project approvals subject to laws such as the Housing Act, the Public Housing Special Act, and the Private Rental Housing Special Act, covering urban planning, transportation, architecture, landscape, and disaster prevention. This aims to reduce the review period, which previously took up to 9 months, to within 2 months.
The residential complex construction project in Yucheon-dong is the first case to which this integrated review will be applied, and the city expects the integrated review committee to convene as early as early September.
Prior to this, the city plans to complete consultations with related agencies (departments) and preliminary reviews by committee members for the project from this month through next month.
Currently, housing construction project entities are simultaneously commissioning related services necessary for the integrated review in line with the city's system introduction.
Jung Hae-kyo, Director of the Urban Housing Bureau of the city, said, “The operation of the integrated review will enable rapid housing supply, achieving both residential stability for citizens and stabilization of housing prices.” He added, “To this end, the city will actively encourage project sites that are planning to apply for integrated review and support administrative matters.”
Meanwhile, starting with the review of the Yucheon-dong residential complex building, the city plans to accept integrated review applications next month for projects such as the Sannae Area Housing Association (9 buildings with 907 households), Yucheon Area Housing Association (4 buildings with 910 households), and Yongjeon Neighborhood Park Special Project (9 buildings with 811 households).
