[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Gimhae City, Gyeongnam Province, has launched a campaign to promote home drinking set products created through collaboration among four preliminary social enterprises in the area.
According to the city on the 22nd, Gayayangjojang, Gaerakdang, Taebaek Hanwoo Cooperative, and Gimhae Global Youth Center Social Cooperative recently signed an agreement and plan to launch a home drinking set product composed of traditional liquor, drinking cups, jerky, and nuts produced by each company in early September.
Gayayangjojang produces healthy traditional Korean liquor without added sweeteners using glutinous rice and non-glutinous rice from Gimhae as the main ingredients. Gaerakdang designs drinking cups featuring the plum blossom, the city flower of Gimhae. Taebaek Hanwoo Cooperative produces jerky, and Gimhae Global Cooperative manufactures nut gangjeong using the local specialty, dan-gam (persimmon).
A Gimhae city official said, "Most of the collaborative products reflect Gimhae's agricultural products and regional characteristics, which gives them special meaning," adding, "We expect mutual development among companies as citizens respond positively."
Meanwhile, these companies entered as preliminary social enterprises in 2020 and the first half of 2021, actively participating in various public contest projects and continuing vigorous activities.
