President Moon said, "Although the inconvenience and difficulties are great, I am deeply grateful and sorry to the people who are silently following and cooperating with the government's strengthened quarantine measures," and added, "I ask you to refrain from movement and meetings as much as possible and join forces to prevent the spread of COVID-19."

President Moon said, "I also express deep consolation and gratitude for the dedication and hard work of medical staff and those working on the quarantine frontlines. The unbearable endurance and suffering in the heatwave are repeating again this year, just like last year."

President Moon said, "If the people ever feel frustrated or exhausted, I hope they think of the dedication of these individuals. The government will do its best to support those fighting on the frontlines to protect the lives and safety of the people, to ease their hardships even a little."

President Moon said, "The government, together with local governments, will spare no effort to break the chain of spread through thorough management of high-risk facilities, large-scale diagnostic testing, and meticulous epidemiological investigations. The speed of vaccination will also increase," he forecasted.

President Moon added, "I hope everyone will unite with extraordinary determination to overcome the severe COVID-19 situation and bring forward the time for recovery of daily life."
