[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyo-jin] DGB Financial Group is supporting employment training for multicultural marriage immigrant women in Daegu Metropolitan City and Daegu Seo-gu area in celebration of the 10th anniversary of the holding company's founding.
To this end, DGB Financial announced that on the 14th, it held an opening ceremony for the ‘Daegu Marriage Immigrant Women Employment Training Center’ at the Seo-gu Healthy Family and Multicultural Family Support Center.
The Daegu Marriage Immigrant Women Employment Training Center has established an employment support class to help immigrant women settle in Korean society. It plans to create specialized jobs by offering courses including basic employment skills, sewing education, driver's license training, child cooking instructor, organizing and storage, hospital coordinator, and caregiver certification classes.
At the event, Long Dimanche, the Cambodian Ambassador to Korea, attended to congratulate the opening of the employment training center for multicultural immigrant women and held a meeting with his nationals (Cambodian marriage immigrant women) to encourage their stable settlement in Korea.
DGB Financial donated sponsorship funds worth USD 20,000 to support education for Cambodian youth and vocational training for vulnerable groups, and also delivered 'Love Daily Necessities Boxes' to multicultural families residing in Daegu.
Kim Tae-oh, Chairman of DGB Financial, said, “We hope that employment among immigrant women will become more active through the Daegu Marriage Immigrant Women Employment Support Center,” and added, “DGB Financial Group will continue to take an interest in improving awareness of multicultural families and their stable settlement in Korea.”
