Busan Bank Launches 'Digital Real-Name Verification Service' at Branches

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyo-jin] BNK Busan Bank announced that starting from the 12th, it will implement a 'Digital Real-Name Verification Service' using QR codes, allowing existing customers to conduct banking transactions at branches without an ID card.

This service, conducted under the special provisions of the Financial Real-Name Act, enables customers to complete identity verification through Busan Bank mobile banking without carrying an ID when visiting a branch, facilitating financial transactions.

Existing Busan Bank customers can scan the QR code displayed at the branch with their mobile phones and authenticate themselves by logging into Busan Bank mobile banking. Once authentication is complete, bank staff can verify the customer's identity using the scanned image of the ID previously submitted by the customer.
