Hi Investment & Securities' Summer Social Contribution Activities for Elderly Living Alone

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jihwan] Hi Investment & Securities announced on the 12th that it sponsored Samgyetang and insect repellent products for elderly individuals living alone in Yeongdeungpo at the Yeongdeungpo Senior Welfare Center, a public facility located in Mullae-dong, Seoul.

This event was organized to participate in ‘DGB Blue Wind,’ a campaign by DGB Financial Group aimed at overcoming the summer heat.

Hi Investment & Securities donated 5 million KRW provided by the DGB Social Contribution Foundation to purchase 630 packs of instant Samgyetang and 100 sets of insect repellent products. The insect repellent sets included mosquito repellents, insect bite treatments, ointments, and patches, items prepared to protect against summer pests.

These items will be delivered to elderly households in need within the Yeongdeungpo area. Samgyetang serves as a nutritious meal to support healthy summer living, and the insect repellent products help create a safe and comfortable living environment. This donation is meaningful as a customized support for elderly individuals living alone, who are considered vulnerable during the heatwave season.

CEO Kim Kyung-gyu stated, "Amid ongoing COVID-19 restrictions limiting outdoor activities, we hope this small contribution supports the health and safety of elderly individuals enduring the heat alone indoors."
