Jin Air Hosts 2nd Marketing Idea Contest


[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] Jin Air announced on the 12th that it will hold the 2nd Marketing Idea Contest to discover new airline marketing ideas for the post-COVID-19 era.


Now in its second year, this contest aims to discover future marketing ideas for Jin Air, and the ideas selected through the contest will be reviewed and actively utilized in future marketing activities.


The domestic flight network-based public transportation and mobility payment service currently being prepared jointly by Jin Air and T-money was promoted based on the marketing strategy plan that won the grand prize last year.


For this contest, participants can freely choose one of the following categories to submit ideas: airline travel product sales and promotion ideas, Jin Store product planning and promotion ideas, ideas to increase online airline ticket sales, or business item planning and execution ideas for generating ancillary revenue.


Anyone who is a registered member of the Jin Air website can apply individually or as a team until the 8th of next month. The winners will be announced on the 30th of the same month through the Jin Air website after two rounds of internal evaluation.


Selected ideas will be awarded as follows: Grand Prize (1 team) - 1,000,000 KRW and 4 domestic round-trip airline tickets; Excellence Award (1 team) - 700,000 KRW and 4 domestic round-trip airline tickets; Merit Award (2 teams) - 500,000 KRW and 4 domestic round-trip airline tickets; Encouragement Award (3 teams) - 300,000 KRW and 2 domestic round-trip airline tickets; Finalists (3 teams) - 2 domestic round-trip airline tickets. Additionally, all participants will receive Jin Air airline ticket discount coupons.


Jin Air stated, "This contest is expected to be an opportunity to discover new airline marketing strategies and prepare for the new normal era after COVID-19," adding, "The adopted ideas will be utilized in Jin Air's new marketing strategies that lead the changed business environment."
