[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Smart livestock food specialist company Seonjin declared on the 12th that it aims to achieve 1.3 trillion KRW in sales in the meat sector by 2025, along with a market share of 15%.
Last week, Seonjin held a meeting at the Gyeonggi Gwanggyo Marriott Hotel to share the vision of Seonjin Meat Distribution BU 2025. Based on the vision philosophy of 'Orem 15 degrees,' the goal is to expand the market share to 15% and increase sales in the meat business division to 1.3 trillion KRW by 2025.
At this vision declaration ceremony, Seonjin established a strategy to find the value customers want through segmentation of pork by part and usage, and to combine these values. Additionally, as the first domestic pork brand, Seonjin completed the 'Smart HACCP' certification for the automated food manufacturing process management system at the Anseong meat processing plant and the Gwangju Meat Center in Gyeonggi, ensuring that all processes from the processing site condition to product shipment are conducted more fresh and safely.
Furthermore, as ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) management, including eco-friendly values, has become important, Seonjin emphasized expanding animal welfare farms and securing antibiotic-free brand meat to build a meat ecosystem that embodies the value of nature. They also plan to continue efforts to offer customers the inherent value of premium Han-don pork by elevating Han-don to a high-end food product.
Seonjin’s Meat Distribution BU has maintained the industry's highest market share level for three consecutive years since surpassing 1 million heads handled for the first time in 2018. In 2020, it exceeded 1.2 million heads. In May of this year, it achieved sales of 62.9 billion KRW, continuing a strong performance in the first half of the year.
Yoon Juman, Executive Director of Seonjin Meat Distribution BU, stated, “With nearly half a century of livestock know-how and the ever-evolving management philosophy of 'Orem 15 degrees,' Seonjin will take the lead in the livestock market that meets customers’ new food culture values.”
