Kia Launches 'Premium' Carnival Hi-Limousine 4-Seater Model

2022 Model Carnival Also Released... 31.8 Million KRW ~ 43.78 Million KRW

[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] Kia announced on the 12th that it has launched the 4th generation Carnival Hi-Limousine 4-seater model. The 4-seater model is a top-tier version based on the existing 4th generation Carnival Hi-Limousine currently in operation.

The 4-seater model optimizes ride comfort with a Hi-Limousine exclusive tuned suspension, based on the spacious interior and various convenience features of the Carnival Hi-Limousine. Additionally, it maximizes luxury by adding differentiated specifications and functions for the second-row passengers. The 4-seater model is powered by a Smartstream 3.5 gasoline single engine that offers both dynamism and quietness.

New convenience features applied to the 4-seater model include rear limousine seats, a 7-inch touch integrated controller, rear seat cold/hot cup holders, rear seat smartphone wireless charging system, rear seat exclusive table, foot massager, cold/hot refrigerator, and rear seat storage compartment.

Kia applied premium seat foam with excellent seating comfort and three-dimensional quilted Nappa leather to the rear limousine seats. It offers a 'Premium Relaxation Seat' function that helps distribute pressure on the hips and waist and provides comfortable rest. The rear seat console houses an independently usable rear seat exclusive table on both left and right sides, providing comfort comparable to first-class airline seats.

Passengers can operate the seats via the 7-inch touch integrated controller located between the rear seats or through a smartphone-exclusive application. The integrated controller also allows easy control of rear seat lighting and air conditioning, a 21.5-inch smart monitor, and a foot massager located at the lower front left side of the second row.

In particular, the foot massager, applied for the first time in a 4-seater model by Kia, was developed in collaboration with healthcare specialist company 'Hutech,' providing a comfortable resting experience for passengers tired from long-distance travel along with the rear limousine seats. Additionally, a cold/hot refrigerator capable of storing beverages of various sizes and a rear seat storage compartment for various items have been applied to enhance comfort and convenience.

The selling price of the Carnival Hi-Limousine 4-seater is 86.83 million KRW.

Meanwhile, Kia also launched the facelifted model, The 2022 Carnival, on the same day. The 2022 Carnival features the new Kia emblem and adds remote smart parking assist, rear parking collision avoidance assist, remote 360-degree view, rain sensor, and air conditioning after-blow to improve convenience.

Especially considering the recent popularity of 'chabak' (car camping), Kia newly operates an 'Outdoor' trim for the 7-seater Noblesse of the 2022 Carnival. The Outdoor trim replaces the premium relaxation seats in the second row with manual seats and extends the forward sliding length of the second-row seats. This secures additional rear space in the second row where two adults with a height of 180 cm can lie down.

The selling prices of the 2022 Carnival are as follows: for the 9/11-seater gasoline models, Prestige at 31.8 million KRW, Noblesse at 36.15 million KRW, and Signature at 40.1 million KRW; for diesel models, Prestige at 33 million KRW, Noblesse at 37.35 million KRW, and Signature at 41.3 million KRW. For the 7-seater gasoline models, Noblesse is priced at 38.48 million KRW, Noblesse Outdoor at 37.5 million KRW, and Signature at 42.61 million KRW; for diesel models, Noblesse at 39.66 million KRW, Noblesse Outdoor at 38.68 million KRW, and Signature at 43.78 million KRW.
