'Recommend This Year's Book' Seoul City Launches Non-Face-to-Face Reading Campaign for 50+ Generation

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul 50 Plus Foundation announced on the 12th that it will hold the 'Book of the Year Campaign' to promote the joy of reading and spread a culture of reading for self-development among middle-aged and older adults.

The 'Book of the Year Campaign' will be primarily conducted online due to the spread of COVID-19. Through this, the 50+ generation is expected to safely share a reading culture in the changed environment.

The subtitle of the 'Book of the Year Campaign,' which starts today, is 'Easy Book, Tough Book, Difficult Book,' an event where participants share their reading experiences with someone special.

Anyone who loves books can participate in the 'Book of the Year Campaign,' and detailed participation methods can be found on the 50+ Portal.

Lee Hae-woo, Acting CEO of the Seoul 50 Plus Foundation, said, "This event will be primarily conducted online so that people can enjoy participating even during the stay-at-home period caused by COVID-19," adding, "Seoul City will continue to help the 50+ generation enjoy various cultures through the 50 Plus Campus."
